The Texas General Land Office is seeking an Information Technology Summer Intern (Clerk II) within the Information Technology Services Department of the agency.

Performs support work for the Information Technology Services (ITS) department in coordination with the digital modernization efforts of the Texas General Land Office. Assists with the rollout and adoption of technology initiatives, providing guidance and communication to ensure successful implementation across the agency. Develops, organizes, and delivers updates and work deliverables using established frameworks and templates. Works under general supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

What Your Contributions to the GLO Will be:

Support assigned IT projects by performing research, analysis, testing, configuration, or implementation tasks under the guidance of ITS staff.

Assist in reviewing current workflows, procedures, and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or improvement opportunities and support implementation of approved changes.

Assist with gathering, organizing, validating, and analyzing information or data to support operational, planning, or decision-making activities.

Assist with routine IT operational activities such as documentation, tracking, coordination, monitoring, or administrative support during peak workload periods.

Create clear documentation of tasks, processes, findings, and outcomes; communicate status updates and results to ITS team members and stakeholders.
