Energy Studies Minor Lunch with Drew Darby and Billy Murphy 1-2PM We are excited to welcome State Representative Drew Darby and Billy Murphy, Head of University Lands, who will be joining us to discuss Texas energy, University Lands, and their work across the state.
KBH Energy Expo Time: 11:00 – 3:00 PM Location: University of Texas at Austin Campus CBA Atrium (3rd Floor) Cost: Free What Is It? The KBH Energy Expo is a career fair and networking event designed to connect UT students with the energy companies and professionals shaping the industry. This isn’t just a resume drop, every company table includes a working professional (an engineer, analyst, operator, or similar) alongside their recruiting team, so you can have real conversations about what it’s actually like to work in energy. Companies are bringing available opportunities with them. Come ready to make an impression. Who Can Attend? 11:00 – 1:00 PM — Curated Student Session The first half of the Expo is exclusively open to energy-focused students who have demonstrated a commitment to careers in the energy sector through campus involvement. If that’s you, this is your window for direct, less crowded access to every company at the event. 1:00 – 3:00 PM — Open Session All UT students are welcome to attend the second half of the Expo and meet with participating companies. Why Attend? Talk to people actually doing the work — not just recruiters Explore full-time roles, internships, and career paths across the energy sector Make connections with companies that are actively recruiting UT talent Free to attend — no registration fee, no barriers Part of a Bigger Week The Expo leads into the Annual KBH Energy Symposium on September 11th, featuring Chevron CEO Michael Wirth, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Daniel Yergin, Quantum Capital Group CEO Wil VanLoh, and former Oxy CEO Vicki Hollub, among others. Please note that the Symposium is a separate, invite-only event for students. For more information, contact the KBH Energy Center at the University of Texas at Austin.
