Host JACK BALAGIA Executive Director, Kay Bailey Hutchison Energy Center Jack Balagia ’76 is a lawyer, arbitrator, and mediator who serves as an adjunct professor at Texas Law. He previously served as vice president and general counsel of Exxon Mobil Corporation after more than 20 years in private practice. Professor Balagia has served on multiple committees with the State Bar of Texas and has been honored by numerous professional organizations. Speakers SENATOR PHIL GRAMM Senior Partner, US Policy Metrics Phil Gramm is a former U.S. Senator from Texas, known for his significant contributions to economic policy and banking legislation during his time in Congress. SENATOR KAY BAILEY HUTCHISON Founder, Kay Bailey Hutchison Energy Center Senator Hutchison, the first woman to represent Texas in the U.S. Senate, and later as U.S. Ambassador to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), is a distinguished public servant whose leadership has shaped both national and international affairs. Her legacy is defined by her commitment to improving lives and championing policies in energy, national security, and economic growth. As the namesake of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Energy Center at UT Austin, her work continues to influence and inspire future leaders and drive progress.
