The program’s mission is to encourage graduate students interested in the energy industry, support the Center’s work shaping energy policy at the local, state, and national levels, provide hands-on engagement in KBH Center activities, and build knowledge and networks to prepare students for impactful careers.

KBH Computational Energy Fellows Program

The Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences has partnered with the KBH Energy Center to offer an opportunity for an Oden Institute graduate student or postdoctoral researcher to deepen their understanding of computational science and the KBH Center’s Energy Studies Minor. The Fellow will highlight how computational science drives innovation by giving educational presentations, engaging in mentoring and networking activities, and creating content that supports the KBH Energy Center’s role as a trusted voice in energy policy. In addition, the Fellow will assist with the academic programming for the Energy Studies Minor, which spans both long semesters and includes an intensive summer component.

TEX-E is a unique collaboration among Texas universities (UT Austin, Texas A&M, Prairie View A&M, University of Houston, and Rice), MIT’s Martin Trust Center, and Greentown Labs to foster a student-driven entrepreneurship ecosystem. Each year, i t supports fellows with networking, learning, career opportunities, and pitch competitions. Applications open each Spring for the next academic year.
